Fayette Jury Awards $1,000,000.00 to Owens Law Group Client.

A Fayette County jury awarded $1,027,473.48 to Cambridge Place Nursing Home resident Irene Hendrix of Lexington, an Owens Law Group client for the past two years.

Kentucky Scott Owens was joined at trial by Vanessa Cantley of Bahe, Cook, Cantley & Nafzger of Louisville.

During the one-week trial the jury determined Ms. Hendrix was not properly supervised, which directly resulted in her injuries.

Ms. Hendrix was discovered trapped in her overturned merri-walker, a walker that includes a seat, in a storage room that was left unlocked.

She suffered multiple facial fractures, deep lacerations and a serious closed head injury.
